We excavate,
as needed, to a 7” depth , compact the native soil and grade
1/8” to ¼” foot.
|
A geotextile fabric barrier is applied
to keep the native soil from infiltrating up onto the
gravel base
|
A 5” coarse of compactable
gravel (QP) is leveled, graded and compressed to a
4” depth.
|
A 1” to 2” of
coarse sand is spread and leveled over the gravel base.
|
Pavers are laid in the chosen pattern
with cuts being made as needed.
|
A ridgid edge restraint is spiked
along the paver edge to keep the patio in place.
|
| Pavers are compacted into the sand.
The joints of the pavers are filled with sand to lock
them in place. |
